Treatments

Microneedling in Houston, Texas.

Microneedling is collagen induction therapy: very fine needles make controlled micro-channels in the skin, and the body answers by rebuilding. Nothing is added that your skin does not already make — the treatment simply asks it to do the work again. At our Houston medical spa it is used for texture, acne scarring, enlarged-looking pores and the general dullness that no amount of skincare seems to reach.

What microneedling is used for

Texture and scarring

It is one of the better tools for rolling acne scars, uneven surface texture and the crepey quality skin takes on as collagen thins. Because the response is your own healing rather than a filler or a resurfacing burn, change arrives gradually — over weeks — and reads as skin quality rather than as a treatment someone has had.

Tone and fine lines

Fine lines, dull tone and the look of large pores all respond, particularly across the cheeks and around the mouth. It also improves how well active skincare penetrates afterwards, which is part of why it pairs well with a considered home routine rather than replacing one.

A typical course

  • Series — often three sessions, spaced four to six weeks apart
  • First change — usually a glow within a week
  • Collagen — continues rebuilding for months afterwards
  • Maintenance — periodic single sessions once the series is done

Downtime

  • Redness like mild sunburn for roughly 24 to 48 hours
  • Some tightness and light flaking as it settles
  • Most people return to work the next day
  • Plan it a week clear of an event, not the day before

Afterwards

  • Bare skin for the first 24 hours — no makeup
  • Daily SPF is non-negotiable while collagen rebuilds
  • Pause retinoids, acids and scrubs for a few days
  • No pools, saunas or hot yoga for 48 hours

The versions offered here

What can be infused

The micro-channels close quickly, so what is applied during treatment matters. Options at the studio include exosome preparations, hyaluronic acid for hydration and plumping, and nano infusion — a gentler, needle-free variation suited to sensitive skin or a first visit. There is also a version combined with a chemical peel for skin that needs both resurfacing and rebuilding.

Choosing between them

Which combination suits you depends on your skin, your history and what you are trying to change — that is what the exam is for. Bring your current routine and any past treatments, including anything that irritated your skin. A plan built around one visit rarely holds up; a plan built around a series usually does.
